Let the Silence Breathe
Let the Silence Breathe
(
Field Notes
)

Silence feels different out in the open.
I was walking with Lila, a poet I’d been photographing for a personal project. She stopped and said, “Can we just pause?” So we did. No words, no clicks — just sky, wind, and the tall grass brushing our ankles.
Eventually, I stepped back. She didn’t pose. She didn’t even know I was shooting.
There’s something about leaving space — literal and emotional — in your images. It gives the viewer room to breathe, too.
🌾 Field Note: You don’t have to fill the frame to fill a photo with feeling.
