I wasn’t planning to shoot. I had my camera with me but no agenda. Then I saw her — Ana — sitting in a patch of overgrown flowers near the edge of the park. The sun was low, dipping through tree branches, creating this broken shimmer of light that danced over her face.

She looked at me. I asked if I could take her photo. One frame. She nodded.

There wasn’t time for settings or second thoughts. Just intuition. The kind of shot you feel before you even take it.
